The Six Basic Principles of the Constitution
The Constitution of the United States of America was founded on six basic principles. These principles created a foundation for the creation of the Constitution and for our government. The six principles are as follows: popular sovereignty, limited government, separation of powers, checks and balances, judicial review, and federalism.
